Record a Working Title

APPLICATION
The American Working Malinois Association, the American Belgian Malinois Club and the Belgian Sheepdog Club of America have collaborated to create a program where working titles can be recorded on your dog's AKC pedigree. As per restrictions from the AKC, only AKC registered Belgian Malinois and Belgian Sheepdogs are eligible to record titles through this program, and titles must have been earned at an AWMA event. At present, titles that can be recorded are BH, IGP1, IGP2, IGP3, IPO1, IPO2, IPO3, SchH1, SchH2, SchH3. The titles must have been earned since 2000.

To apply, you must submit the AWMA Application to Record a Working Title to the AWMA so that the title(s) can be verified. You will also need to send a copy of the dog's scorebook with a highlight of the AWMA trial where the title was obtained along with a $25 payment to the AWMA.

You must also send a form to the American Kennel Club Application to Record a Working Dog Title. All of the information on their requirements can be found at Parent Club and Working Dog Titles. Once the information is received, the AWMA Secretary will confirm the title with the AKC.
We encourage you to utilize this service to document your dog's accomplishments on their pedigree and the registrations of any of their offspring.
