- All competitors are representatives of the AWMA and should strive to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner both on and off the field.
- Any competitor who conducts him or herself in an unsportsmanlike manner, or engages in any other actions that are contrary to the best interests of the AWMA may be subject to disciplinary action.
- Disciplinary actions shall be taken up by a grievance committee that shall convene at the AWMA Nationals as needed.
- Competitors are responsible for their dog’s behavior during the entire event, both on and off the competition field. They should not leave their dogs loose and unattended in the hotels. If not confined to their vehicles or crates, dogs should be on lead and under direct control of their handlers at all times. Handlers should clean up after their dogs at the hotels and at the competition areas.
- Handlers should respect the restrictions that the host club places on practice locations and times. This includes being knowledgeable as to the location of practice tracking and ensuring that no tracking takes place at the trial fields. Handlers should sign up for and effectively utilize slots for practice on the obedience and protection field.
- Handlers are responsible for having available at the event all required paperwork/documentation for themselves and their dogs.
