SW USA regionals...Congratulations to Darka and Danny

Postby Gunny on Sun Feb 10, 2008 4:37 pm

93-90-90

Danny and Darka took 3rd at the USA SW regionals. Danny aquired Darka only with her BH , just about a year ago, titled her to a 3. Then put her on a podium at a regional event. She was also top female. An Incredible training feat.

Congrats Danny

It was a very impressive performance :) Now if we can just duc tape Danny's hand's, he'll stop costing his Darka points in obedience    Where's my e-collar

This Judge was very consistent with all competitors, fair and a sharp eye. You weren't given points, you earned them. It was a pleasure to watch some very nice performances. And the girl's ruled this weekend. A Mali bitch earned 96 "V" in protection. The ONLY dog!

Congrats Danny and Darka!! Also a BIG congratulations to Donna McGinnis for a 99 point track with her Mali bitch, Felise :) Way to go Donna.

Congratulations Danny and Darka, I heard it was a nice performance.

I'd also like to congratulate David and Luigi for earning their SchIII. They had a few bobbles here and there, but still ended up with a 90-80-94. Not bad for their first attempt at SchIII, and at that level of competition.

Congratulations Danny and ALL the mal handlers out there. Okay, congrats to the swamp collie handlers, too! I am a closet occasional shepherd handler so I can call 'em such.

Thank you, Candy and Will. Yes, big congratulations to Danny and Darka, as they represented the Malinois contingent excellently, along with beautiful performances from David Green with Luigi and Shelien Craft with Ali.

Thousands of hours and thousands of dollars were invested in this last trial at the Rousseau Ranch, but it would all be for naught if competitors, spectators and sport friends did not join us. I would be very remiss if I did not thank everyone for sharing their precious time with us. On behalf of the Phoenix Schutzhund Club, we thank you for every purchase of a hamburger, a catalog, and t-shirt. We know you have expenses and choices, and you chose to spend your time with us. We also thank the judges, Elmar Mannes, Doug Deacon, Craig Groh, Willie Pope, and Glenn Stephenson, along with Wayne Simanovich and Andreas Mueller, who came to the banquet to honor our grand lady of Schutzhund, Jacqueline Rousseau, and we greatly appreciate them sharing their memories of Jacko's 30 years of generosity, devotion and commitment to our club and our sport.

Bill Cosby said, "In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure." Every competitor entered in this regional trial exhibited this courage, the will to succeed, and in the future, in another trial, I have no doubt that they all will.

Tremendous performances, tremendous people, tremendous sportsmanship - thank you for the memories, one and all!
