2008 AWMA Championship in WA

Hello,

We have just been advised by the AWMA board of directors that the 2008 AWMA Championship has been awarded to our club, CBSC, in WA.
We will host it either last week of September or first week in October. Website for the event will be in place soon.

In addition to the regular trophies that are awarded at the national event, we will add the Team trophy (combined score of two teams), the helper's choice award and the Crowds favorite.

Just wondering if dates have been set. I know the 21st annual WUSV World Championship is in Kentucky (Cincinnati area) October 9-12, 2008.

The dates for the 2008 AWMA Championship have been narrowed to September 26,27, 28, 2008.

Still waiting for the farmer to confirn the date.

Website for the championship will be up and running by Janaury 15, 2008.

All the trophies have been sponsored already.

Why would you host this trial two weeks before the WUSV worlds??

It was originally scheduled for October 3,4 and 5, 2008. We moved it one week back to accomodate some of the people that requested it.

Before I head out for a work related trip for the remainder of this week and then hit the road on Sunday to drive to Olympia, I wanted to post a big thanks to the Cascade club for hosting what promises to be a great event. There is a very nice turnout of extremely talented dog/handler teams. This will be a fantastic competition with world-class performances. Safe travels to all of you and best of luck at the event. Good luck to all the trainers and dog teams at the Nationals. Sorry I can't be there work has just been too busy. I hope to see some video and I'm sure I'll hear stories.
